Colour Treatments
 
   Overdyeing and colour release techniques work well with 100% cotton.

   Colour Release:   Plunge garment into a bleach and water bath until you see a colour change. Leave longer for lighter colours. Remove when desired colour is achieved (colours appear darker when wet) and plunge into a clear water rinse. Then wash with soap, rinse well, blot and dry.
   Overdying: Dissolve 2 packages household dye in hot small load of automatic machine (top loading). Add garments and agitate 20-25 min. (Catch machine before spin cycle and reset.) Dissolve 1/2 cup of salt in warm water and add to rinse cycle. Complete cycle. Dry and iron garments. Wash separately 2-3 times after dyeing.
